Nile Awards Limited (SONEA – Source of the Nile Entertainment Awards) is a youth-focused creative industry development platform rooted in Busoga and Eastern Uganda.
We exist to close the gap between talent and opportunity. Through discovery, skills development, mentorship, exposure and recognition, we help young people turn creative ability into sustainable careers and livelihoods.

Nile Awards Limited grew from a simple observation: Busoga and Eastern Uganda are rich in talent, culture and young people — yet pathways into the creative economy remained limited for many.
What began as a focus on recognition through the Source of the Nile Entertainment Awards has expanded into a full development pathway: discovery, skills, mentorship, exposure, entrepreneurship and community outreach.
Recognising the scale of youth unemployment and underemployment in Busoga, and the untapped potential of the creative sector as a source of livelihoods, identity and pride.
Establishing SONEA as a flagship recognition platform — creating visibility, credibility and motivation for outstanding achievement in music, film, comedy, fashion, dance, media and digital content.
Building programmes for talent search, skills development, mentorship, creative entrepreneurship and community outreach so that awards sit within a longer journey of growth.
Operating as a creative, entertainment, media and events company — talent management, events, marketing, PR and production — to sustain the ecosystem and create more opportunities for artists and partners.
